Chelsea Wolfe grew up surrounded by music and its enchantments. Born in Sacramento and now residing in LA, she has cited black metal and Scandinavian folk music as her influences. Which has set the platform for an intriguing body of work. We were fortunate enough to see her perform live at the Great American Music Hall on September 30th 2013 and have been listening to her newest album ever since.
Pain is Beauty, Wolfes 4th studio album is magically crafted and easily the soundtrack to our darker/witchier half. Wolfes voice, reminiscent of a beautiful siren enchanting you to follow her into the depths of her emotional detanglement, makes for an intense but oh so lovely listening experience.
